"KOINOS Cooperativa sociale" was founded in the 1987 at Molfetta (Ba - Italy) by a group of young people involved in volunteer social work. Their objective and mission was a preventive social intervention. Their conviction was that of intervining in a organized way to prevent social exclusion. 1987 - 1994

From 1987 to 1991, KOINOS realized project in performing arts for children in socially disadvantaged, two national theatrical festivals, social street activities and artistic activities in primary schools at Molfetta (BA - Italy) and surrounding towns.

During 10 years KOINOS was realized Summer social meeting center for children.

KOINOS belongs to a network of local social services; in 1991, founded a consortium of social organizations (CON.SO.P.) already belonging to "C.G.M." (Nazionale Consortium of Social Cooperation). 1995 - 1998

From November 1995 until June 1998 KOINOS managed the animation sector in the Social Center for the elderly, sponsored by Molfetta's City Council.

From 1996, KOINOS manage the Educational social center called "Le Radici e Le Ali" (roots and wings) sposored by Molfetta's City Center situated in the Old Area (ghetto area).

In 1997 KOINOS realized a project of training for social animator for children in partnership with "Centro Italiano di Solidarietà di Roma" (Ce.I.S.).

In 1998, KOINOS was manage a project called Progetto ARIANNA for "pari opportunita", and it was manage the Project called Progetto "COOPERAZIONE E LAVORO" (Cooperation and emploiment) for young unemployed people and young disabled people. This project had the objective of foundation a social enterprise that works in the sector of binding and paper creations.

1999 In school year 1997-98 and 1998-99, Institute of social worker in Andria (BA - Italy) entrusted KOINOS with realization of courses of specialization for student in "techniques of family assistance" e " techniques of free time animation" with stages.
